Son of a Gun is one of our favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. Situated on Third Street’s restaurant row, Son of a Gun boasts a maritime theme and exceptional seafood by chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo (of Animal fame). We stopped in last week and ordered several standout dishes, including the blood orange, avocado and spring onion salad; lobster roll with celery and lemon aioli; octopus confit salad; shrimp toast sandwich with sriracha mayo; linguine and clams; fried chicken sandwich; and the warm scone with macerated strawberries and cream.
